Here's something that's been happening a LOT lately. I'm sure I'm not the first to complain.
You submit one or more new things. The next day, you see you've got as many as about 9 feedback messages (if you're lucky, that is), and most, if not all, of them are about stuff you made as long ago as when you first joined this site!!
Don't get me wrong. I don't mean to sound ungrateful of positive feedback of any kind. This never even used to bother me until lately. But, it's like, I mean, suppose I'm not even proud of some of that ancient stuff anymore? Did it ever occur to some of you that there are brand-new things I've made that are eagerly waiting to be loved, but you're all too busy waltzing right past it, all the way back to where my gallery even begins, to notice what's RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE?!? I mean, it's like, "hellooooo, already"..
I think the reason it bugs me so is, the way I see it, it's like such people act like my old stuff was better than my new stuff, which might as well be saying I've gotten worse as an artist, rather than better. And, that's kind of a really insensitive, shitty feeling to instill in a person when you think about it. At least it is IMO.
I know I ask this a lot, but...has this ever happened to any of you? I mean, who can relate. Not that I mean to sound like I'm taking a survey, but I ask because like to check from time to time to see who's still paying attention.
Geez, some people are just so clueless. I'm sure they don't mean to come off as insensitive, but it's just so discouraging at times like this.
